Orthodoxy beliefs come from the original teachings of the twelve apostles that are nearly 2000 years old. Greek orthodox followers share identical beliefs with some other countries such as Eastern Europe. Together they are called the Orthodox Church or Eastern Orthodox Church. Both Greek and Russian Orthodox followers make up a big part of the Eastern Orthodox Church.his religion originated in AD 1054 there were disagreements over changes to Christian traditions and beliefs. There was a split between the eastern and western regions of the church. The former then became known as the Eastern Orthodox Church.
